Infusion & Specialty Pharmacy
Infusion and specialty pharmacy services are fully integrated into Pediatric Health Choice's health care delivery model. Children who require these services can receive them at one of the medical day health centers or in a child's home.
PHC’s compounding pharmacy is state of the art. Our infusion supplies and equipment accommodate the child’s size and ambulatory needs. Various diseases are clinically monitored and managed in conjunction with the prescribing physician. Our disease management and infusion services reduce the need to hospitalize children.
PHC’s pharmacists are trained to address the needs of pediatric patients and are committed to provide extra attention to each child’s unique needs. Dosage calculations, special compounding and preparation are performed in our “USP 797” compliant clean room facility. PHC’s pharmacists routinely provide clinical consultation and education.
PHC’s pediatric nurses have extensive experience in neonatal and pediatric infusion. In addition, our clinical manager coordinates a child's treatment schedule, provides clinical updates and collaborates with all involved caregivers in the development, evaluation and implementation of the child's plan of care to ensure compliance and optimal outcomes.
